Where the Suns host the Blazers happens

I hate you Lakers!

Si los Suns pierden este… in the mega ultra hole plus!

Flu No Problem For Flash

Flu No Problem For Flash

The Lakers – Once again the purple-and-gold team from Los Angeles feature in this section.  Another game, another win, taking them to a record of 11-1.  Their opponents this time were the Sacramento Kings who managed 108 points at the Staples Center which is no mean feat.  Unfortunately for them the Lakers responded with 118 points of their own, led by a 15 point 10 rebound performance from Andrew Bynum.  Trevor Ariza managed 11 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals from the bench to demonstrate again the strength in depth that the franchise possesses.  Expect them to continue to roll through games, picking up wins with ease.

The Wolves – A road trip to Detroit to face the Pistons had loss written all over it.  That was until Sunday night when Minnesota put strolled into the Palace and won by 26.  Their first road win of the season and what better place to get it.  Randy Foye scored 25 points whilst dishing 14 assists to combine with an impressive shooting night for Ryan Gomes who went 9-for-11 from field-goal range to pour in 20 points of his own.  Some other shooting performances included, 2-for-11, 3-for-11 and 3-for-10.  Those belonged to Rip Hamilton, Allen Iverson and Rasheed Wallace of the Pistons.  Meanwhile Tayshaun Prince went for 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting.  Maybe stop jacking it up and get the ball to the guy who’s hot?

The Defending Champions – The Celtics faced a potentially difficult matchup when they travelled to Canada to face the Raptors.  A challenge that they overcame with relative ease.  Despite a foul plagued night for captain Paul Pierce, Boston ran out 118-103 winners led largely by seven of their players scoring in double-digits.  For the Raptors their problem seems to be getting Chris Bosh and Jermaine O’Neal to both perform on the same night.  CB4 had 24 points last night, while new acquisition O’Neal had just six points before leaving the game in the second quarter with a knee injury.  If they can get those to to play form an inside partnership, then they can steady their 6-7 record.

Cleveland – With the NY Knicks trading away their talent in the pursuit of cap space to try and make a run for LeBron James, the Cavaliers need to do something to tell their star that he should remain with the franchise.  Their record this season is now at 10-3 after a home win against the Atlanta Hawks and whilst that record is largely due to the play of James, they’ve not sat so pretty at this point of the season in the past.  By no means is the supporting cast a brilliant one, but what it is is arguably the best that the Cavs have had since adding the King to their roster.  If they continue to stock up on wins, then they will help make LeBron’s decision, that’s assuming it has not already been made, a little more difficult.  For now though they second in the East, not a bad place to be.

Shaq – He does this every now and then.  A game that reminds you of what he’s capable of and then five when he takes it easy.  That’s Shaq’s way.  Invariably these games come against players that have been deemed to be the next dominant big man in the NBA.  This time it was against Greg Oden’s Portland team, not so much against the second-year rookie as he saw just 14 minutes of play, but at least he was at close proximity.  Close enough to witness a 19 point and 17 rebound night from the Diesel.  Maybe it was a good thing that Oden saw such limited time given how his NBA career has gone thus far.

Flash – A great statline for Dwyane Wade against the Indiana Pacers with 38 points and 8 assists.  A line made even greater by the fact that Wade played with the flu.  For the mere mortals flu, or better yet man-flu, is enough to leave most males bed-bound in a state that could only be brought about by a potentially lethal disease.  For others they go out and dominate a basketball in 40 minutes of play.

A Fan – A self-proclaimed ‘bitter fan in Seattle’ has put together a countdown to the time when Kevin Durant can ‘get the hell out’ of Oklahoma City.  Durant’s thinking it and now this fan has made a graphic for the rest of us to follow.  A mere 871 days remain so take a look whilst you can http://iwantoutofokc.com/

#2: @pico On FriendFeed? Attention on FriendFeed (for non A-Listers) is driven by: being interactive + decent-to-great content.

#3: Observation: E2.0 crowd is much more active on Twitter than FriendFeed: (1) established connections, (2) conversations, (3) broadcast.

#4: @pico It’s kind of a parallel to enterprise 2.0 in general. E2.0 tracks what happens in Web 2.0, with a 2 year delay. Web 2.0 is the filter.

#5: Just showed my colleague how I’ve got my FriendFeed Enterprise 2.0 List up on my monitor via real-time. His reaction? “Gotta show me how!”
