Where Uy qué pena happens

Anoche los Suns jugaron contra los Stolen Sonics de Oklahoma City por primera vez en la temporada, y pues, de hecho, por primera vez en la historia del mundo! Como saben, o tal vez no, los Stolen Sonics son uno de los equipos que lleva una sóla victoria en lo que va de la temporada y, como los Wizards, corrieron a su coach, PJ Carlesimo, por el pésimo desempeño del equipo. Ahora el coach de los Stolen Sonics es Scott Brooks. I know, who the hell is he? Aunque bueno, yo creo que Dio lo ha de conocer.

Pero bueno, en cuanto al partido, Shaq no jugó porque hoy vuelven a jugar y ya ven que Shaq necesita guardar energía en partidos consecutivos. Whatever! Aún así, en el primer cuarto se fueron arriba por un puntote. Pero al medio tiempo se fueron abajo por 13 puntos. Ouch!!! Y qué pena!!!

Al terminar el tercer cuarto ya se habían acercado a 11… Wow!

Pero no se preocupen, porque las cosas se pusieron buenas para el último cuarto. Los Suns tuvieron una racha de 11 puntos sin contestar y el marcador era de 85-86 con 5 minutos 11 segundos por jugar, a favor de los Stolen Sonics. Pero los Suns no podrían conseguir la ventaja aún y después de un par de jugadas el marcador ya era 89-95… Pero Stevie anotó los siguientes 7 puntos de Phoenix para empatar el marcador a 96 con 48.5 segundos por jugar. Los Stolen Sonics anotaron otra canasta, pero Matt Barnes metió un triple con 25 segundos por jugar para darle la ventaja por primera vez en la segunda mitad a los Suns. Kevin Durant intentó una canasta para darle la victoria a los Stolen Sonics, pero falló… Pero el rebote cayó en manos de Russell Westbrook, que por poco y pierde el balón, pero logra intentar otra canasta y también falla con 9 segundos por jugar. En la pelea por el rebote, los Stolen Sonics pierden el balón y con 8 segundos por jugar, le hacen falta a Stevie! Pero pequeño detalle, los Stolen Sonics todavía no estaban en el límite de faltas y no le dieron tiros libres a los Suns, sino que continuó su ofensiva. De ahí, los Suns se pasaron la pelota y torearon a los Stolen Sonics para evitar la falta y terminarse el reloj. Marcador final 99-98. Por eso cuando lo vi, me quedé, en total “Uy! Qué pena!”, digo, lo ganaron, pero por 1 en contra de los Stolen Sonics! By the way, después de que Barnes metió el triple de la victoria, el nuevo coach tenía cara de que quería llorar… mal plan! Pero al parecer, perder por un punto es un avance para los Stolen Sonics.

Stevie tuvo un super buen partido y terminó con 20 puntos, 15 asistencias, 8 rebotes y 7 turnovers a pesar de que, después de leer tantos posts de la nieve, le dio frío.

By the way, para los que no se han dado cuenta, eso fue casi un triple doble!!! Y otra cosa más, logró esos números en 43 minutos!!! O sea, en los últimos partidos de los Suns, Stevie ha jugado más minutos en promedio de los que jugaba en las temporadas anteriores bajo D’Antoni. Sí, claro, los minutos de Stevie van a bajar esta temporada, blah, blah, blah. Y apenas es Noviembre! Needless to say, Slovenian Boy sigue sin jugar. El substituto de Stevie fue de nueva cuenta Singletary, que en sus cinco minutotes metió un triple.

De ahí en más, Stat terminó con 22 puntos, Barnes con 16, Robin Lopez con 11 y Boris Diaw con 11 también. Leandrinho Barbosa jugó de nueva cuenta, aunque sólo 13 minutos y terminó con 4 puntos, 2 rebotes y 1 robo. Go Leandrinho!

Ahora los Stolen Sonics son el único equipo de la liga con una sóla victoria en la temporada, porque anoche los Wizards lograron finalmente su segunda victoria sobre los Warriors. Citos Warriors!

Mientras tanto los Suns juegan hoy en el frío de Minnesota, cito Stevie, contra los Timberwolves para terminar su viaje de esta semana.
